This week we celebrate not only our 50th episode but also the final episode of our first year with a really special interview with author and filmmaker DAVID LEAF, author of the new book God Only Knows: The Story of Brian Wilson, the Beach Boys, and the California Myth. David tells us remarkable stories of Brian's friendship with Paul McCartney, his struggle with psychiatrists, and his rebirth via the music of Smile, plus the friendship that David and Brian have shared over the years. We also talk about some of David's other work, including The Night James Brown Saved Boston, The US vs. John Lennon, The Bee Gees: This is Where I Came In, Ricky Nelson Sings, and much more.
You can purchase a copy of God Only Knows here.
